Facility and Equipment Management

Facility and equipment management plays a critical role when establishing hospital roles and capabilities, particularly during city or statewide emergencies. IDS5 allows supervisors at each connected hospital to maintain and update their own information while disseminating it to the centralized headquarters buildings.

Information such as available rooms/beds, oxygen supply, wheelchairs, available medicines and chemicals, and other data can be accurately updated in real time by each facility supervisor and immediately transmitted to each hospital or administrative building connected via IDS5.

During large emergencies or natural disasters, hospital administrative facilities will have up-to-date figures for each medical facility under its jurisdiction—information that is critical for establishing victim routing procedures. This data can also be transmitted to responding Emergency Management facilities or Fire Rescue Units that are equipped with IDS5.

Personnel Management

IDS5 allows shift supervisors to update personnel status “on the fly” and instantly transmit the changes to the floor or facility supervisors. Personnel status may include assigned shifts, duty hours, availability and certifications.

Training and certifications can also be updated as completed and maintained within IDS5. If a specific subject requires recurring training, IDS5’s extensive customization options allow administrators to include expiration alerts for personnel that require the training.

Certifications and training can be made immediately accessible to shift supervisors and facility managers so they can accurately manage each employee. Supervisors and managers can view their employee’s current training status and certifications to accurately assign responsibilities.
